Detramo is part of the Pirson group and has nearly 40 years of experience in the steel industry. As part of major production unit refurbishments, such as blast furnaces, Detramo intervenes in draining, cleaning, and partial or complete dismantling operations.
Draining
Detramo provides draining and cleaning for units such as blast furnaces, mixers, and electric furnaces. Our teams operate in both hot and cold conditions.
Our comprehensive fleet of equipment, adapted for these operations, allows for controlled and safe execution according to the specific conditions of each project.
These interventions are primarily carried out as part of maintenance or major refurbishments, integrating the technical and operational constraints specific to each installation.
Cleaning
Cleaning consists of the selective and controlled dismantling of elements to be demolished. Whether dealing with refractories, skull, or solidified iron, our teams master all the techniques necessary to preserve the integrity of the production unit.
These operations are conducted in a structured manner to limit downtime and prepare the facilities for a restart under optimal conditions.
Over the years, we have also developed a controlled blasting technique adapted to this type of intervention. It allows for intervention in constrained environments on high-hardness materials, such as cast iron or skull, while ensuring the protection of production tools.
Dismantling (partial or complete)
Detramo also handles the partial or complete dismantling of steelmaking units and equipment, depending on the project objectives.
Our interventions notably include the removal and cutting of metal assemblies, partial or complete shell cutting, the dismantling of technical elements, and the controlled removal of materials. Each operation is organized according to access, co-activity, and the site’s safety requirements.
